Choosing a gift for a new baby is a lovely problem to have. You want something that feels considered, lasts beyond the newborn haze, and doesn't end up in a pile of near-identical presents. Personalised gifts solve that — a name stitched into cotton turns a nice object into a keepsake.
Here are the gifts we're asked for most often, and honest notes on who each one suits.
1. A personalised wall banner
Hand-embroidered cotton banners work as birth announcements first and nursery decoration afterwards. Parents photograph them for the announcement post, then hang them above the cot. Ours are stitched with the baby's name — and if you'd like birth stats (date, weight, time), that works beautifully too.
Best for: the announcement moment, and parents who want something that stays up.

2. Embroidery hoop art for the nursery
A hoop is a small piece of art that grows with the room. Our zebra, dinosaur and star designs are stitched by hand and personalised with the child's name, so the piece stays meaningful well past the baby years.
Best for: a gift that looks like a considered piece of decor rather than "baby stuff".

3. An embroidered baby blanket
The practical choice that still feels special. A soft blanket with the baby's name gets used daily — pram, car seat, sofa — and photographs well, which matters more than people admit.
Best for: gifting parents who value practical things.

4. A personalised teddy bear
The first-toy gift. A name or initials embroidered onto a soft teddy makes it the one that gets kept, not the one that gets passed on.
Best for: a gift from grandparents, or a "first friend" present.
From £18. See the teddy
5. A three-piece cotton bodysuit set
Newborn clothing is often gifted in sizes the baby has already outgrown. A 0–3 month cotton set, personalised, sidesteps that — it gets worn in the window where photos are taken constantly.
Best for: gifting before the birth.
£28. See the set
A note on timing
Personalised pieces are embroidered individually, so they take a little longer than off-the-shelf gifts. We ask for 2–3 business days to prepare a personalised item, and UK delivery is typically 1–2 days after that — so plan for around 3–5 business days from order to doorstep. If you're working to a specific date, message us before ordering and we'll do our best.
Getting the personalisation right
One thing worth saying plainly: we stitch exactly what you type. Double-check spelling, capitalisation and any dates before you order — personalised items can't be returned unless they arrive faulty. If you're unsure how a name will look, just ask.
Everything is designed, embroidered and packed in our London studio. If you'd like something that isn't listed, tell us what you have in mind — custom requests are our favourite kind of order.
